Born in Windsor, NC, Scott makes his home in Chesapeake, VA, with his wife and daughter.
Scott discovered at an early age an aptitude for stripping and reassembling mechanical components. After taking an automotive class in high school, he was hooked and knew he wanted to follow his uncle into the automotive field.
After working for 10 years for a local repair shop, Scott and a business partner opened Courthouse Imports in October of 1999. Scott is now the sole proprietor.
Scott’s love of cars has carried him into racing as well. He spent time on the NASCAR late model circuit as Tire Changer and Car Chief for several drivers. Scott currently participates in Arena Racing USA, driving half-scale NASCAR cars.
Owning a business has given Scott the opportunity to meet many people and become directly involved in community and charitable activities, most notably the ziMS Foundation. ziMS is a local MS support charity founded by the Washington Nationals third baseman Ryan Zimmerman.
